From Sidekick to Bigshot - Chapter 1201
Chapter 1201: Intentionally Misled
If it weren’t for Jian Yiling, if she failed this operation, anyone else in the hospital would have failed the operation as well. There would be no one there to threaten her position or authority.
As she thought about this, Fei Qing suddenly thought about Bai Pingping.
After a moment of contemplation, Fei Qing wiped away the tear marks on her face and went to wash her face.
Then, Fei Qing sent a message to Bai Pingping and asked her to go shopping as a break after work.
“Dr. Fei, I feel so bad for you,” Bai Pingping said.
“I’m alright. It’s true that I’m not as skilled as Jian Yiling. I’m glad that our Vice Dean only decided to demote me and not fire me. It’s already very lenient treatment,” Fei Qing replied frankly.
“Ahh, you are really good-tempered and good-hearted,” Bai Pingping said. “If I was in that situation, I wouldn’t be thinking those things.”
Fei Qing smiled and replied: “I’d like to thank you for caring so much about me. During times like this, I can see who is worthy to be my good friend. It’s those that don’t leave me.”
These words made Bai Pingping incredibly happy.
She was just a trainee nurse. Naturally, she was happy to be friends with a doctor at Fei Qing’s level.
From the time she entered the hospital, she knew that it would be beneficial for her to maintain a good relationship with Fei Qing. And thus, whenever someone had a bone to pick with Fei Qing, she would be the first person to stand up for Fei Qing.
“Let’s go buy a handbag. Buying handbags will comfort me,” Fei Qing said as she pulled Bai Pingping into a luxury store. She picked out a handbag that cost roughly a hundred thousand dollars.
When she went to pay for the handbag, Fei Qing took out her wallet from her bag. She accidentally dropped a piece of paper which fell to the ground.
Bai Pingping went ahead to help Fei Qing pick up the piece of paper. When she picked it up, she saw her name on the paper.
Bai Pingping was shocked to see this. When Fei Qing realized that she dropped that piece of paper, she hurriedly grabbed it from Bai Pingping’s hands.
After paying for the bag, the two of them left the sore. Bai Pingping decided to ask Fei Qing about the piece of paper.
However, Fei Qing went silent. After a moment of hesitation, she replied: “You shouldn’t ask about it.”
“Dr. Fei, didn’t you say I was your good friend? I read something about an assessment on that piece of paper. What exactly is that about? If you don’t tell me the situation, I won’t be able to sleep well at night.”
Upon hearing this, Fei Qing acted as though she was put in a difficult position. However, after a moment of agonization, she replied: “Okay, I will make an exception for you. However, you need to promise me that you can’t tell anyone I told you about this.”
“Mhmm, of course, I will make that promise. Rest assured. I won’t tell anyone else.”
“This is the assessment form for trainees and interns. These forms will be filled out by the head of each department. In other words, the opinions of chief physicians and doctors outside your department matter as well. As I was previously the chief physician of the surgical department, I would naturally have such a form.”
“Then how did I go in my assessment?” Bai Pingping hurriedly asked.
She wanted to succeed. If she succeeded, she could become an official employee at Lahaisen Hospital’s Beijing branch.
“Well, you would have passed… But…”Fei Qing started. The expression on her face looked torn. It seemed as though she did not want to tell Bai Pingping something.
“But what?” Bai Pingping asked anxiously. She desperately wanted to know what was going on.
“But someone gave you a very bad evaluation. Therefore, you have the worst grade amongst your cohort.”
“Who? Who gave me a very bad evaluation?” Bai Pingping asked angrily.
“You shouldn’t ask about this.”
When she heard this response from Fei Qing, an answer surfaced in Bai Pingping’s heart.
