“F*ck, damn that crow, how dare he not come inside with me? I’ll make sure to roast him alive when I get out….” Fang Xing twisted and turned, but he simply could not control where he was going any longer. Although the wind had been very mild when he was outside, now it was strong enough to blow him all over the place while thunderbolts crashed nearby, leaving him with no option but to clench his teeth and defensively coat his body with Qi to reduce how much damage he took.
After an unknown amount of time passed and Fang Xing felt as though he’d nearly reached his limits, his body became heavy and his back smacked against soft land, bringing everything to an end. He continued to curse that selfish crow in his mind, however, and spent a good while doing so before he finally opened his eyes to take in his surroundings.
“So this is inside the so-called Guixu Ruins?” Fang Xing wondered after sitting up with great effort to look around at the surrounding black-sand beach. Before he was able to determine anything at all, a loud roar rang out from skies above him and a red dragon thirty or so feet long started falling from the heavens. The dragon’s body was covered in blood and burnt flesh, and even his dragon scales had taken heavy damage. It looked as though he’d been heavily damaged by the lightning, yet despite being a little confused and dizzy, he was still gazing intensely at Fang Xing. The dragon fell at an incredible rate and opened his mouth to reveal a maw of terrifying fangs, as though he intended to swallow Fang Xing whole.
It was precisely that crazed dragon.
Not even Fang Xing had expected the dragon to continue chasing even after he’d fled into the Guixu Ruins. “You’re more vicious than those debt collectors…” Fang Xing mournfully cried out while trying to get back to his feet in a panic, but his body was so heavily wounded that all his limbs were soft and he was unable to escape.
“F*ck, you’re my brother-in-law since I’ve slept with your sister, so don’t bite me….” When Fang Xing realized there wasn’t any way for him to escape, the only thing he could do was loudly claim they were relatives. Considering this crazed dragon hadn’t even recognized his own sister, however, whether or not he would accept this so-called brother-in-law was something only the heavens would know….
With a roar, the red dragon landed in front of him and opened his mouth towards Fang Xing, who was so terrified he clenched his eyes shut.
Slurp, slurp, slurp ….
Strangely, rather than feeling pain, Fang Xing instead felt the sensation of an extremely wet tongue dragging over his body. He was left absolutely covered in saliva, much to his disgust, and his first thought was perhaps this crazed dragon had high standards and wanted to lick Fang Xing clean first before eating him. With that thought, Fang Xing decided he’d take a dump inside the dragon’s stomach once he was swallowed; he’d make sure to fill the dragon with disgust to the very last moment—a final method of retaliation.
Even after that long lick was finished, the crazed dragon still didn’t bite him and licked again instead. “Are you f*cking done or not?” Fang Xing suddenly opened his eyes and cursed at the red dragon, unable to stand it any longer. “Hurry and end your Grandpa Fang quickly, will you….”
Even before he was finished speaking, Fang Xing was licked once more, causing his anger to reach the boiling point. He directly stood up with his hands on his waist before pointing at the dragon and cursing, “Don’t you not understand a person can be killed but shouldn’t be shamed?” Since he wasn’t able to escape any longer and fully expected to meet his end, his rough and coarse temperament flared up once more and the words flowed freely.
Bizarrely, although the red dragon’s head was nearly as large as Fang Xing was tall, he was actually shaken by Fang Xing’s strong temperament and slowly drew backwards. His puppy-like eyes were filled with grievances, as though he wanted to get close but no longer dared to do so.
“Hmm. Something’s wrong….” Fang Xing noticed the changes in the red dragon’s temperament and tilted his head to look at him. The red dragon tilted his head as well, and when he noticed Fang Xing had stopped cursing, a glint of joy appeared in his eyes and his head slowly came closer once again. He opened his large mouth and his giant tongue came rolling out….
“Sh*t, don’t lick me! You stay the hell away from me!” Fang Xing angrily jumped back and shouted while pointing at the red dragon. The red dragon felt aggrieved again and laid his giant head on the ground with his eyes looking motionlessly towards Fang Xing.
Fang Xing folded his hands behind his back and studied the dragon carefully. “Hmm… this doesn’t seem like how someone would look at their food….” He was all too aware what kind of appearance someone would have when looking towards food. Take the little miss lotus girl, for example; when she saw something she wanted to eat—whether it was dead or alive—her eyes would shine with hunger and greed, and even the straight white teeth in her mouth would become somewhat frightening. “This animal seems to hold no hostility towards me…” he muttered to himself, and a bit of hope began to rise within him.
Fang Xing began quietly retreating backwards. He was nearly about to fly off after getting around thirty feet away, but the red dragon abruptly moved forward a little… although the dragon was so large that “a little” was truthfully dozens of feet. The dragon’s tongue rolled out again after he arrived in front of Fang Xing, and Fang Xing fearfully shouted, “Don’t lick! Kneel down and don’t move, understand?”
The red dragon coiled up and sadly placed his chin on the ground while looking straight at Fang Xing.
‘Is this even a dragon anymore? Why does it look like a puppy….’ Fang Xing thought to himself. He felt something was wrong, but he still didn’t want to be too close. This crazed dragon had simply been too terrifying when he was fighting in the air, and Fang Xing knew even ten of him wouldn’t have enough battle prowess to fight against this dragon. Even though the dragon wasn’t showing any hostility, Fang Xing was still extremely unwilling to get close. No matter how daring he was, that depended on who he was facing; this was a thing that would eat humans alive without even needing to spit out any of the bones, and everything would be over in an instant if the dragon decided to come and take a bite.
Seeing that the red dragon had calmed down, Fang Xing let out a sigh of relief before flying up into the air. He was about to flee, but he turned around and was suddenly shocked to see the red dragon had flown up as well and his giant head was still the same distance away.
“F*ck….” Fang Xing shuddered at the sight, and even his spirit sense was thrown into disarray. He was already injured, and so he suddenly lost his balance and began falling head first towards the ground.
Swoosh ….
That monstrously large dragon swam forward and opened its mouth to snatch Fang Xing inside. Fang Xing thought he would still end up dying in the mouth of this livestock, but just as he was about to untie his pants to finish his final retaliation, he realized the dragon hadn’t actually swallowed him. Instead, the dragon slowly landed on the ground before gently releasing fang Xing with a soft breath.
“Eh? Not going to eat me….” Fang Xing kept his grip on his pants and observed this dragon with immense interest. Although he had some hesitation in his heart, he decided this thing was just too dangerous and it was best to kill it. After some thought, he grinned and slowly began to fly upward with a miniature mountain—the Shanbao Mountain Treasure he’d obtained from the Colored Glass Palace—in hand. The original purpose for him entering the Colored Glass palace had been to steal treasures, and he hadn’t forgotten to keep this Shanbao Treasure with him despite the absurd series of events that had followed after he found it.
Fang Xing didn’t want to make the red dragon suspicious, so he flew very slowly while instilling his Qi to fill the Shanbao Mountain Treasure.. He wanted to return the treasure back to its original form in order to smash this red dragon to death, but his cultivation level was still low and controlling such a giant treasure as this was extremely difficult. Even after steadily filling it with Qi for as long as a stick of incense, the Shanbao Mountain still hadn’t activated.
Fang Xing also noticed the red dragon’s gaze towards Fang Xing had become more and more soft and loving during this time, as though it was looking at its family. ‘Perhaps since I swallowed the dragon bead and gained the aura of dragons, this thing thinks I’m one of its own kind?’ Fang Xing stopped pouring Qi into the Shanbao Mountain for a moment, but he quickly denied this possibility. The dragon girl was also the same kind as this red dragon, yet it had attacked with great viciousness and hadn’t left any room for mercy. Although Fang Xing didn’t know why this red dragon would now become so docile, he wouldn’t even have anywhere to flee if it became crazy again—it was still best to kill it just to keep anything unexpected from happening. With these thoughts, he began instilling Qi into the Shanbao Mountain at a faster pace.
Nine pivot points on top of the Shanbao Mountain suddenly lit up, and the red dragon’s docile gaze abruptly changed to that of viciousness. Fang Xing was sent into a fright, but before he was able to react, the dragon let out a low growl and dashed towards him. Fang Xing was heavily wounded to the point he could barely activate this Shanbao Mountain, so how would he be able to evade this now?
Except Fang Xing apparently didn’t need to evade. The red dragon passed Fang Xing as it quickly dashed towards a giant creature behind him, and it was only then that he noticed some kind of monster had appeared nearby without him knowing. He’d originally thought it wouldn’t be difficult to notice thanks to his strong senses, but he’d been concentrating so hard on trying to activate the treasure that he actually hadn’t realized something like this had gotten so clsoe to him.
The red dragon collided with the giant creature, and the two became entangled in a dreadful scene. The creature was a giant ape nearly ten feet tall that was carrying a giant stick in its hand. The giant ape had already struck out with the stick by the time the red dragon threw itself forward, and if the dragon had been even a second slower, Fang Xing would have been turned into minced meat by now.
Judging from the giant club-like stick in its hand, it was clear the giant ape had come with malicious intent, but the red dragon wasn’t an easy opponent either. The two began fighting it out after a quick movement, with the dragon coiling over the vicious ape’s body and clawing across the ape’s body like scraping through mud. The ape’s body was filled with claw marks and blood, and it was in so much pain it wouldn’t stop crying and shouting while grasping at the dragon’s neck with one hand and beating the dragon’s body with the giant club in its other hand.
Fang Xing understood what was going on very quickly and hid at the side to watch, but the more he looked on, the more terror he felt. He’d personally witnessed the red dragon’s battle prowess and how killing a Golden Core was as easy as cutting grass, yet this sort of vicious ape was giving the dragon so much trouble. Taking a closer look, Fang Xing used the Book of Revelation to identify exactly what this vicious ape was and was left surprised by what he found. “Ancient Peril Beasts… aren’t they all dead?”
