Universe’s Ultimate BOSS - Chapter 43
Chapter 43: Improvement
At night in the No. 11 High School, Zhong Li reported to Su Mu, “Senior Su Mu, according to the nurses, Xue Qianqin was not assaulted. Xue Qianqin also stated that Wang Hao did nothing more than extract her blood after carrying her into the cottage.”
“All right, got it.” Su Mu was relieved. If Wang Hao had truly done that kind of thing, he wouldn’t know what to do at all.
If he killed Wang Hao, he would’ve failed Wang Tianyi; if he sent Wang Hao to prison, it would be too much for him to bear; if he destroyed Wang Hao’s cultivation, it would be a great waste.
Thankfully, the result was not a disappointment. Although Wang Hao liked to take advantage of other people, he did not have major flaws and was not hopelessly evil.
His quirks also suggested that he wouldn’t be deceived by others in the future.
“Zhong Li, what did you just say?” Mo Li came in with Luo Yao and asked solemnly, “Did you say that Wang Hao extracted Xue Qianqin’s blood and made a drug with it?”
Zhong Li nodded dutifully. He was rather puzzled. Was it common to make drugs with blood? However, it was true that the blood of demon beasts were used more often than human blood was.
“Vice-President, it’s not that drug, is it?” Luo Yao thought for a moment, and his eyes widened in fear.
Su Mu frowned and asked, “Old Mu, enough of your riddles. Tell me what drug Wang Hao has made exactly!”
Taking a deep breath, Mo Li said solemnly, “There’s only one drug in the entire universe that requires the blood of Dark Spirits: Heaven Burier.”
“Heaven Burier!”
Su Mu and Zhong Li exclaimed and sweated.
In history, someone used Heaven Burier on a planet, and the planet turned into a forbidden area henceforth.
However strong one was, they would lose their strength once they landed on the planet and could only wait for their death.
The more horrifying thing was that the drug did not disperse after thousands of years. Unless the antidote was taken in advance, anyone who entered the planet would die.
“Could it be a mistake?” asked Zhong Li curiously. “Heaven Burier is a level-six drug that requires the abilities of a Level-Six Medical Saint, isn’t it?”
Frowning, Su Mu asked, “Are there no other drugs that require the blood of Dark Spirits?”
Mo Li shook his head and said solemnly, “Absolutely not. The blood of Dark Spirits is only suitable for Heaven Burier. It has no other usage at all.”
Everybody was confused. They had no idea what Wang Hao had created with the blood of Dark Spirits.
“Forget it. Let’s just wait and find out tomorrow!” Su Mu chuckled. “Even if Wang Hao has extraordinary gifts, he’s a Level-Three Medical Grandmaster after all, and we have a Level-Five Medical Emperor here. There’s nothing to be scared of!”
Mo Li glanced at Su Mu and declared, “It’s no use flattering me. Wang Hao will go to the Guild of Pharmacists.”
Su Mu shook his head and did not argue. He found it unnecessary because Wang Hao had the ultimate say in where he was going.
…
The night on Shawan Island was utterly quiet except for the occasional roars of beasts.
Inside the cottage, Wang Hao counted his loot from the past two days, including a Level-Two Stealth Cloak, a level-two dagger, a level-three alloy sword, and plenty of grenades, flash bangs, and landmines.
Le Xuan and Xia Weiwei couldn’t help but shake their heads. Who could’ve thought that Wang Hao was as poor as a civilian when he came to the island?
His current equipment, on the other hand, was dazzling and could deal tremendous damage.
After counting them, Wang Hao decided to shop in the System’s mall.
Lightning Gait, currently Perfect, was improved to Natural at a cost of two million points.
Thousand Illusions, currently Fluent, was improved to Perfect and then Natural, at a cost of three million points.
All the formulas that a Level-Three Medical Grandmaster should grasp were purchased for five million points.
Special Strengthening Drug, which could improve a Martial Apprentice by one level, was purchased for one million points.
He spent eleven million points in total, and he had thirteen million points left. Wang Hao wondered if it was impossible to use up all the points.
Wang Hao drank the Special Strengthening Drug, and he surpassed Level-Mine Martial Apprentice instantly. He was only one step away from Martial Master.
“Huh?”
Wang Hao frowned. After he reached level nine, he sensed that the breakthrough was different from before.
After the previous breakthroughs, he could make breakthroughs again after he was adapted to his body and did not have to build his foundations like other people did.
However, he sensed that his control over his body was different now. Without half a month’s adaptation, it was impossible to make another breakthrough.
What’s going on, System? asked Wang Hao curiously.
〈〈Host, do you remember the Level-One Potential Pill in the beginner’s bundle? Its effect is over now that you’ve become a Level-Mine Martial Apprentice. To make quick breakthroughs while ensuring a steady foundation, you will need a Level-Two Potential Pill.〉〉
Wang Hao was relieved. So, everything was good as long as it was not his body’s problem. Without thinking, he said, I would like to buy a Level-two Potential Pill.
〈〈Ding-dong. The host has purchased a Level-Two Potential Pill for ten million points.〉〉
How many!?
Wang Hao was slightly stunned. His heart bled freely. That was too expensive.
He had only three million points left, and he had to cut his expenses again.
Looking at the Level-Two Potential Pill in his hand, Wang Hao smiled bitterly and swallowed it. The instability in his body was immediately gone. He would adapt his body by tomorrow morning.
Wang Hao lost interest in shopping now that he only had three million points left. He exited the System’s mall and saw that Xia Weiwei and Le Xuan were reading something and murmuring.
Seeing that, Wang Hao approached them stealthily and read it aloud: “How to Cope with Stalkers?”
“When did you come?” The girls, surprised, hurried to turn off the smart wristband and looked at Wang Hao rather unconfidently.
“A second ago.” Wang Hao shrugged and grimaced. “You have stalkers? It’s not a problem at all. As long as you have a boyfriend like me, no stalkers will dare to approach you.”
The girls rolled their eyes. Did he really not understand, or was he feeling too good about himself? Did he not know whom they were taking precautions against?
